Anchor attacked by dog on air

Posted on Thursday, February 9th, 2012 at 8:40 pm

A Denver anchor woman suffered minor injuries after a dog on her news segment bit her on the face.

The woman was interviewing a firefighter who had rescued the dog the day before from an icy lake. The dog’s owner and the dog were also on the set. She is seen petting the dog throughout the segment, but it was when she bent down to get closer to the Argentine mastiff that it bit her.

She was taken the hospital where she had reconstructive surgery that night. Surgeons say the surgery was successful, and she is expected to return to work in a few weeks. The dog has been taken by animal control where it will be quarantined for ten days.
