Officer injured in car crash

A New Rochelle police officer and his K-9 suffered minor injuries earlier this week when a suspect’s vehicle slammed into his unmarked police car.
The suspects were chased from a CVS Pharmacy where one tried to fill a fake prescription for liquid codeine. A suspicious pharmacist alerted local police, but the man ran off and into the getaway vehicle where three others waiting.
The driver of the car has been charged with reckless endangerment and reckless driving. All four suspects will face felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a forged instrument.
