Florida has opened a new Social Security hearing office to help lighten the load of the Social Security claims and help them to process quicker.

This new office will help Florida residents that leave in the St. Petersburg area to receive their Social Security benefits in a timely fashion.

Since the new commissioner has taken office, the number days a person will wait has lowered from 532 days to 465 days. The new office will help lower this number even more. The new office will have 11 full-time administrative law judges, 52 people on support staff and three managers.
