A Denver anchor woman suffered minor injuries after a dog on her news segment bit her on the face.
The woman was interviewing a firefighter who had rescued the dog the day before from an icy lake. The dog’s owner and the dog were also on the set. She is seen petting the dog throughout the segment, but it was when she bent down to get closer to the Argentine mastiff that it bit her.
She was taken the hospital where she had reconstructive surgery that night. Surgeons say the surgery was successful, and she is expected to return to work in a few weeks. The dog has been taken by animal control where it will be quarantined for ten days.

Thick smoke and fog cause multiple crashes on Interstate 75
Posted on Thursday, February 2nd, 2012 at 8:09 pm
South of Interstate 75 close to Gainesville, Florida a brush fire emitted thick smoke that drifted in the directions of drivers on both sides of the highway. This smoke, when merged with the pre-existing fog, blocked visibility for drivers.
The air became black and drivers were unable to see past their own windshields. People tried pulling over on the highway, but with the inability to see where they were, cars began to crash into one another. Several motor vehicles were hit from both the front and the back.
Emergency crews were also unable to navigate their way through the fog in order to tend to injured drivers and passengers. People were screaming and yelling, but no one could see them. Rescue workers were guided by their voices and administered the best medical care that they could. A total of 19 cars were involved in the wrecks, where 11 people lost their lives.

NTSB starts investigation into NJ plane crash
Posted on Wednesday, December 28th, 2011 at 11:53 pm
The single-engine Socata TBM 700 airplane that crashed into Interstate 287 in Morristown last week has been taken to a storage facility where investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board will perform a detailed examination.
It could take a year before the examination is complete, which means it could take just as long to discover what caused the crash. Last Tuesday, four people were on their way to Atlanta when the plane went down. On board was a investment banker from New York, his wife, their two children, and his colleague. All passengers and the pilot were killed.
Before the plane crashed, the pilot contacted air traffic control to report icing. NTSB investigators say that the pilot was making an emergency call when radar and radio connection was lost.

It has been projected by the Social Security Board of Trustees that retirement and disability funds will be completely used by 2037 due to the life expectancy increasing along with the number of senior citizens.
Due to increased life expectancy there have been proposals to raise the earliest retirement age to older than 62 and raise the full retirement age to over 67.
